Every Horeca Podcast badge has a verifiable criterion, a date and an expiry. Merit badges cannot be bought: only «Premium» is tied to a paid plan, and it says so.

Frequently asked questions
- Can a company buy a badge?
- No. A merit badge is earned only by meeting its criterion: no plan, sponsorship or payment can buy it. The only badge tied to a payment is «Premium», which only says that the company has an active Premium or Partner plan.
- Who awards the badges?
- Most are automatic: a nightly calculation turns a badge on when its criterion is true and off when it no longer is. Some are confirmed by the editors with proof, such as quotes in episodes or certification documents. Nobody can award them by hand.
- Can a badge disappear?
- Yes. When the criterion is no longer met, or the expiry set for that badge is reached, the badge disappears from the company page.
- How can I check a badge I see on a company page?
- Each badge shows the date it was earned and links to this page, where you find its criterion, check and expiry.
- Can a company pay to be quoted in the episodes?
- No. Editorial choices, such as episodes and expert quotes, are never sold.
